Conserve your area
RESIDENTS are being invited to influence future development within conservation areas.
High Peak Borough Council recently reviewed its Character Appraisals for conservation areas in Whaley Bridge, Chapel-en-le-Frith and New Mills.
Character appraisals set out what is important about an area in terms of its character, architecture, history, development form and landscaping.
The council is welcoming comments on the contents of the Character Appraisals, which can be viewed online at www.highpeak.gov.uk.
Hard copies will be available at libraries in Chapel, Whaley Bridge and New Mills, as well as Council Offices in Buxton, Glossop and Chinley.
The three-week consultation period starts on April 28.
