Appliances theft appeal
POLICE are appealing for information about the theft of a hob and dishwasher from the front garden of a house in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
The items were outside the property on Nearwell Close when they were stolen, between 7am and 6.50pm on Wednesday June 25.
Police say a man collecting scrap was seen in the area during the day.
He is described as being of big build and very tanned. He had black hair and a black moustache.
A Derbyshire police spokeswoman said: "Officers do not know if there is any connection between the disappearance of the items and the scrap collector, but would like to hear from anyone who can help with their enquiries."
Anyone with information should ring 0845 123 33 33 and ask for PC Sarah Radley.
