THE COMMENTS made by Mrs C Morgan on your letters page in last week's issue of the Buxton Advertiser will find many people in total agreement.
Particularly worrying is the traffic flow in Buxton Town Centre. Also, because of few arterial roads into the town from other areas, incoming and outgoing traffic is often grid-locked. At the moment there is great inconvenience being caused by the c
losure of the Ashbourne Road out of Buxton due to the railway bridge repairs.

More and more dwellings are being built in and around the town.
Whilst no provision seems to have been made to cope with the extra volume of traffic, which further developments envisaged will incur.

In order to encourage people to visit and shop in Buxton, for which the town has many things to offer, access should surely be a matter of urgency, along perhaps with more friendly car parking charges, available in various selected areas.

A few months ago a suggested one-way system round the centre of Buxton was published in the Buxton Advertiser, which many people thought was an interesting idea. Would there not be some merit at looking at this again along with the proposed re-development in the Town?

It would be interesting to hear other comments on this idea.
